Polymagnet · priority #1 · what I'm waiting on
One token stands between the plan and the results.
The audit is done. The fixes are written. The network is cleaned up and pointed at the store. Everything is staged. The single thing holding back the measurable work on polymagnet.com is one piece of access — and it's already been requested.
The #1 item
A Shopify Admin API token (shpat_) for polymagnet.com requested
One token with read/write on products, content and themes — or, just as good, theme-edit turned on for my staff role so I can generate it. Requested from the store admin on Oct 27 (Tim and Melissa cc'd). That's the gate. Nothing else is blocking the engine from working on the real store.
Why it matters
Right now every fix has to be typed by hand, one product at a time, across ~200 products — slow, and it's why five months have shown little movement on the store itself. The token changes the unit of work from one product an hour to the whole catalog in one supervised pass. It also lets me read the store's own analytics, so for the first time we can prove whether the work moves the number instead of guessing. This is the difference between "going slowly" and "being switched on."
What lands the moment it arrives
- Every product title and meta rewritten — function-first, SKU trailing — fixing the catalog-wide bare-SKU titles the audit found on 4 of 4 products sampled.
- AI-answer-engine identity: Organization, Product, FAQ and Breadcrumb schema across the store, so ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity describe Polymagnet correctly and can cite it.
- Answer-first intros and FAQs on every function collection (align, latch, spring, attach, torque) — the content AI answers actually lift.
- The doubled-brand title ("Polymagnet – Polymagnet (CMR)") cleaned site-wide.
- A real before/after: the audit baseline today is SKU-titled 4/4, brand-doubled 4/5, weak alt text 5/5 — all of it fixed and scored, not asserted.
Every change is supervised: queued for approval, and each one snapshots the current value first so it reverts in one click. Nothing ships without a yes.
The plan — fast, visible, measured
- Already done. Network cleaned (mirror killed, clone stores consolidated, off-topic content removed, redirects live), full SEO/AEO audit run, traffic + funnel analysis delivered, and the Shopify can/can't-do list proven (Shopify is not the blocker — 14 of 15 changes are fully doable).
- This week, by hand (no token). Apply the top wins in the admin — set the primary domain, paste the collection intros and FAQs, rewrite the worst product titles. First visible before/after, this week.
- The moment the token lands. One supervised sweep across all ~200 products: titles, metas, schema, alt text — days, not weeks — each change approved and reversible.
- Prove it. Stand up a live scorecard that moves: audit score, schema coverage, AI-citation checks, and Shopify sessions-by-referrer — so every improvement is a number Tim and Melissa can watch climb.
- Then the roadmap. Module #2 (social), support on the roll-up pitch deck, the magnetics-machinery hub — the items already on the priority chart, sequenced and measured the same way.
Why this gets exciting
The same engine took globalfilmfests.com from zero to the top of a ~600-site network in a day, with 15,000+ verified entries. Pointed at Polymagnet's real store — supervised, reversible, and measured — it turns "no movement in five months" into a scoreboard that climbs every week. The plan is finished and staged. It starts moving the day the token arrives, and the first hand-done before/after is this week regardless.
